A Reconstruction - Muppet Style

During their holiday, the children spent all day,
every day in the creche...
Whilst their parents sailed...
...and played tennis.
By night, the children were put to bed...
and left alone.
Whilst their parents dined...
drank...
and got jiggy.
A sticker book to read...
...and a sofa to play on?  Alone.
Despite 'regularly checking'...
...a wicked, swarthy abductor hid in the shadows.
And during one of her checks...
...the mother found an empty bed...
and smashed, broken, jemmied shutters.
(Rewind - the shutters were undamaged)
The child had vanished.
'They've taken her' she screamed... from the balcony? flat? restaurant?
And while the staff, residents and holidaymakers
searched high and low for the little girl...
the parents and their friends stayed in the apartment...
...deleted their messages and made phone calls.
Where was the child?  She had simply vanished.
The 'wider agenda' made a swift appearance.
Command Centre was drafted.
The thorn...
Those pesky posters.
And that damn disgraceful cop.

It's time to face the music
It's time to make it right.

Go on - if the Muppets can do it, then what's the problem?

Righting the Wrongs - Doing the Time Warp Again...

"When I read around the various forums, blogs and Twitter, it's startlingly obvious that certain people are stuck in the summer and autumn of 2007."

Well, certain people believe there are a few good reasons for this.

First and foremost a child has vanished without a trace. There has been no conclusion... and most startlingly, she is still missing.  How can you move on from that?  Have the parents?...  Perhaps we could have done so 20 years ago when news was few and far between, however with the advent of the internet, this case will never go away until all is resolved.

Are certain people really still caught up with forum rumour and innuendo from 2007?  I actually see more in depth discussions about the confusion and apparent lies that appear in the officially released police files, than newspaper cuttings.  Discussion is usually backed up by credible links or information.  Rumours are few and far between nowadays.  The files are full of inconsistancies from the parents and their friends - as long as this confusion lasts, there will be questions.  It's human nature.

Are certain people really naive enough to expect that PC Plod be plucked from anonymity and punished for those anonymous leaks?  Maybe he/she has... would we be privy to such information anyway?  Unless certain people are expecting public stocks and rotting fruit (or sardines) in front of a heaving, baying crowd?  Leaks are an age old problem within the police force worldwide and sometimes an intentional act for operational reasons. Perhaps we should ask Mr Brunt about his DNA source, which bizarrely reversed from 100% Madeleine's to 0%.

It may come as a surprise, but certain people actually view the payment made by the Express group to the McCanns and their friends with much scepticism simply because it never went to trial and was settled out of court.  If something is the truth, is it not worth pursuing until the bitter end?  Especially for your child?

Spot the difference.
Like Robert Murat & Co did.  Or to respectfully give them their Sunday names... Robert Murat, Michaela Walzuch and Sergey Malinka, who took their cases all the way to the High Court and won, receiving substantial six figure payments each.

Since 2007, the British media have bombarded the public with the version of events provided by the McCanns & Co.  They have also launched a continuous unnecessary assault against the Portuguese people and their establishments, most of which has been believed by the gullible British public.  Until this stops and those unanswered questions addressed, discussion of the case should continue.

The writing is not on the wall, but on the sticker book and only then can we emerge from that time warp which is May 2007.

What makes a McHATER?...

Are you a Hater?  Or a Nasty?  What about a Moron or just a plain, old Muppet?

Do you go by the grace of God or cast the first stone if you're without sin?

Well, you see it all depends on which side of the fence you're on.  Ideally, we should all be on the fence seeing as we really know nothing about what happened to the child on that fateful holiday.  However, from day one a line was drawn in the sand and the Pros and Antis were born.

A tag which I don't consider to be accurate, as I think the majority of us agree that the child needs to be found.

Even though I don't hate the McCanns, I am considered a HATER, NASTY, MORON and MUPPET by their supporters simply for questioning the parents' version of events.  I have never hated the McCanns, I don't know them.  I am Pro Madeleine, along with all the other people who continue to question events, discuss the case and want justice for an innocent little girl.

Show me a Pro forum that has personally translated the files, brings the latest unbiased news from all sides and one which doesn't copy and paste posts from other forums in order to simply rip the posters apart. In their eagerness to condemn and target Goncalo Amaral, they support Leonora Cipriano. A convicted child killer.  Absurd.

Do they provide support for the McCanns?  Their main objective seems to be to ridicule and slap down anyone who doesn't believe in the abduction scenario.  Do they do anything constructive for Madeleine?

I took a trip down memory lane earlier and found an abundance of vile rants still available online, some from almost 4 years ago.  To date nothing has changed.

With their vile, rancid attacks the supporters always were the HATERS. And they're not doing their Team any favours.

Jog on...

In a recent charity run for Missing Persons, Mrs McCann said burglary victims might get help from the state, but added: "If your child goes missing or a family member goes missing sometimes you might not get anything."

Well done on completing the run, but I beg to differ.

From the residents and holidaymakers on the ground in Portugal to the translators and posters online, here are a few of the agencies and people who have contributed to help in the search to find Madeleine...

... Mark Warner ... Interpol ... World Embassies ...
... Translators ... CEOP ... Liaison Officers ... SOCA ... NPIA ...
... Scotland Yard ... Portuguese Tourist Board ... FSS ... FBI ...
... Criminologists ... Social Services ... Sniffer Dogs ...

Police forces from around the world including Poland, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Malta, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the Guardia and many more.  Police forces within the UK including Exeter, Glasgow, Leicester West Yorkshire.  Not to mention all of the Portuguese government/non governmental agencies and facilities at first hand.  All areas were searched extensively, involving all squads of police, the army, Marine authorities in what was "the greatest search Portugal had ever seen".

There really are too many to mention.  I like to be accurate, but it would take forever to compile the full list.

Add to that the huge amount of airtime and media coverage devoted to reporting, interviews and dedicated appeals.  Jetsetting the world for free has allowed visits to places such as Washington, Morocco, Fatima and blessings from the Pope.  Private ministerial meetings and advice from the best consultants.  Police escorts and preferential first class treatment.

A private company created under the guise of a fund, has allowed a comprehensive team of lawyers to be hired and a mortgage to be paid. Well meaning people, including pensioners and children have donated to this fund.  They wanted help find the child, unaware their money would be used in such a ill mannered fashion.  To this day, the 'fund' is still misreported and believed by the more naive amongst us as a... charity. A charity it most certainly is not.

So, all in all, a very fair amount of worldwide help for infamous parents who apparently neglected their children and put their daughter in the position she now finds herself.  Certainly can't be attributed to not getting anything.

All Kate McCann had to do was answer 48 questions to aid the investigation.  She refused to answer all but one..

Q - Are you aware that the fact of your not answering the questions put to you jeopardise the investigation that was aimed at finding out what happened to your daughter.

She answered: "Yes, if the investigation thinks that."

Why?  Her husband co-operated with the police.  The age old excuse of 'incriminating oneself' just doesn't wash - what parent would refuse?

Comparing the help you may receive from the state when a person goes missing to a burglary really comes as no surprise.  Did you know it can also be put on a par with your student overdraft?

Perhaps Mrs McCann should count her lucky stars that her family has received unprecedented support thus far.  She should perhaps check her own insurance policy - leaving your valuables on show with unlocked doors really does entitle you to nothing.

The Sleeping Prophets...

Another day, another dollar in the... umm, search for Madeleine McCann.

Are Team McCann psychic?  When they release important info to the public via the media, like leads and the presumed location of Madeleine's whereabouts, they know the kidnappers have their fingers in their ears and are humming nah nah I can't hear you.  Which is just aswell, because putting the child in extreme danger from her captors by making the location public is the last thing they want, I'm sure.

Mysteriously, they also seem to know just when Madeleine will still be missing. The latest report from the Express indicates she will unfortunately still be missing this summer when Mr McCann and friends attempt to make a 2000 mile bike ride from Portugal to England to raise awareness of Madeleine's disappearance.  That's if she's still 'disappeared' and four years too late really.

This brings to mind the case of another missing child - Ken Thompson made a marathon 4000 mile cycle ride across Europe in a desperate search to find his son, Andrew.  Andrew went missing after Madeleine in 2008 when he was abducted by his mother.  Mr Thompson really was pro-active, actually found his son and brought him home.  Most heartwarming and we are all sincerely happy for Ken Thompson and his son.  This is a great example of what getting off your arse can do... instead of employing crooks, browsing the internet at home and generally, well you know, working really hard.  I make the parallel with these missing child cases because who knows what happened to Madeleine?  Only the perpetrator/s.

What is even more enlightening is that Mr McCann's bike ride, which was due to commence on May 3rd has actually been postponed 'due to the clash with the royal wedding'.  Hark, I hear a chorus of confusion - the royal wedding is the week before.  Clash, my ass.  Just another delay tactic like so many others in this case?  The delayed release of information has always been predictable, from the 3 week old 'last photo' to the 'Oprah exclusive' age procession pic.  A precious child is missing, why wait?  Another hard habit to break in McCannland it seems.  But hey ho, as long as the lads don't chaff their thighs, it keeps the book buoyant with plenty of freebies along the way.  Judging by the ever declining presale book price however, thinking caps will have to be donned.  I hear cadaver scented stuff goes for a treat on the second-hand market, maybe some items could be brought to sell along the way.

All these delays and postponements are of no benefit to Madeleine whatsoever. Everything done to suit the McCanns, it always looks like awareness of themselves they put forward, not the child.  They really do project themselves as more important than their missing daughter.

Mrs McCann is doing the dutiful next week - raising awareness in a sponsored run for Missing People.  Close friend and fellow pact member Jane Tanner is also on the run - taking on the task of the London Marathon, running for Breakthrough Breast Cancer as a commendable, meaningful tribute to her late step-sister.  It's easy to set up a page and let your sponsors do all the work but a quick comparison of the offline sponsorship amounts reveal the passion both runners are putting into their efforts - Ms Tanner's running total of £300 compared to Mrs McCann's pitiful nil.  Yes - zero.  Is that umm well, working really hard? Or just a different end result with a different kind of passion?  I wonder what the tally would be if the run was to aid the fund?

Back to the Express article, we learn that Kate's 'account of the truth' is now Kate, her family and friends' account of the truth.
"Kate .... has been using extracts from her personal diary written in the days after Madeleine vanished.
She has also been relying on family and close friends to help jog her memory."
That diary... another well planned cash cow, thought up as part of that infamous wider agenda?  So they say...  I can't believe that such horrendous memories which would be etched in the head of any parent should have to be referenced from a diary, family or friends? Insignificant thoughts of killing Robert Murat or that dream really are personal and of no help to Madeleine.  The rage and pain inside should be enough to fill those pages.  Yet the author needs reminding.

Dr Amaral said in a recent interview...
"Could the book help to find Madeleine? It depends on what it says so we will have to wait and see if it can contribute in any way to an investigation, and if it can, it would then become something that could be used as evidence in a case."
So, four years on let's hope that this sudden overcoming of emotion will not only do Kate some good but also help Madeleine.  It would be wonderful and all worthwhile if her efforts could actually get the case reopened. Wouldn't it?...  Shame it all appears to be another exercise to facilitate the fund, and not the investigation.

Let's also hope that there's been no need to reference the trivial tripe that is Gerry's Blogs which unsurprisingly have not yet had the offer of publication... or perhaps the publishing houses are having their own moments of madness and savaging each other as we speak.  Doubtful... the tit was dry on that cash cow from Day One... despite those lashings of child friendly toppings.

**

We all know that forward planning is a good thing, however the Team never, ever say "if Madeleine is still missing, we will do this..." it seems to be a foregone conclusion.

The logical conclusion... the bike run should have acted as a complementary Portuguese dimension to the book release - in May. Using the royal wedding as an excuse to postpone really doesn't wash, especially when Portugal was the intended departure point, not the UK.  I doubt very much if the European media will be overwhelmed by news of Kate and Will in the weeks after their wedding day... it appears that the raising of awareness is targeted at a select audience.  The UK.  Remind me, where did the child vanish?
