Now there are three steps to Heaven, Tapas Nine, just listen and you will plainly see, Six years since Madeleine’s been gone, Still you’re pretending you’ve done nothing wrong, Time you followed steps, one, two and three,
That sure sounds like heaven to me.
Step one participate, in a reconstruction, Step two, answer police truthfully and politely, Step three, no more ‘reconstruction shuffle, no more ‘v’ sign in the air at the authorities, Like for Madeleine, you just don’t care, Best you do the right thing, And just follow steps one two and three.
That sure sounds like heaven to me.
The formula for heaven is very simple, Just follow the rules and you will see, To find the little girl you love, To kiss again and hold her tightly, Time you followed, steps one two and three,
That sure sounds like heaven to me!
Yes the formula for heaven is very simple, Just follow the rules and you will see, And though you travelled far, From the tapas bar, The PJ they still wait to hear, What if innocent it is, that you fear, When what happened to Madeleine becomes clear, After you take steps one, two and three.
That sure sounds like heaven to me.
Sadly the 'wait' will be as long as it takes for the tapas members:
Gerald McCann (Madeleine's father) Kate Healy McCann (Madeleine's mother) David Payne (Gerald McCanns best friend) Fiona Payne (Kate McCanns best friend) Matthew Oldfield (acquaintance of McCanns) Rachael Oldfield (acquaintance of McCanns) Russell O'Brien (acquaintance of McCanns) Dianne Webster (Fiona Payne's mother)
to do what is honest and honourable, to do what is right for the little girl they all claim to love, to do what is such a simple thing, something that when knowing child is missing, in fear, in the hands of a brute, should not have needed a second thought.
It did, and they all refused to help the little girl.
Madeleine, alive or dead, seems her parents feel, heaven can wait!
Apologies - How could I have forgotten from our tapas list, the infamous Jane Tanner, partner to Russell O'Brien, story teller extraordinaire, she who harbours animosity towards Gerry McCann but still does his bidding, master of memory which none of the others in the group can claim to have been bestowed, and eyesight which will guarantee her a spot on a Specsavers ad - Has to be a sign, that I missed her from the list - Jane, the first perhaps to cut loose from the charade that is this sad case?
